Important Information Before Getting Started
- This is an interactive online program. Our clients are located throughout the US and Canada. All sessions are facilitated on Zoom. We have had tremendous success teaching social skills online.
- The Social Skills Center offers solution-focused, skill-building techniques. This includes social skills tips, strategies, and interventions. Homework outside of the group will be involved. Our program is geared for motivated clients who want to dive in and learn these essential life skills.
- The program is ideal for higher-functioning clients – those that already possess a basic foundation of social skills.
- We teach these skills in a group format. We always match our clients with similar aged and similar level of functioning group members. The groups are 50 minutes in length and meet at a set day and time each week. Groups are typically scheduled during after-work and after-school hours. Each group is $79.
- Prior to starting the group, you will have an initial 1:1 consultation with the clinician who facilitates the group you are joining. This meeting, which is approximately 30 minutes, provides an opportunity for you to meet the clinician, discuss goals/expectations, and have your questions answered. The initial 1:1 consultation is $99.
- Like most health care practices, our clients are required to put a credit, debit, or HSA card on file with us when they complete the initial paperwork. However, clients are never charged until after the completion of a session. There is no long-term commitment with us. You can participate in as few or as many group sessions as you see fit. Also, we do have a strict late cancellation/no-show policy. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, kindly let us know at least 48 hours prior to the session or you will be charged the full session fee.
- In order to join a group, you must complete the initial paperwork. Like many health care offices, we have a secure client portal where the paperwork is located. Our client portal is 100% HIPAA compliant.

My son participated in a social skills group for 3 months and loved it! He really likes the other
kids.

Thank you, Dr. Haley. Evan looks so forward to the group every week. He is the one that
reminds me it’s group time. He grabs the laptop and logs in on his own.
M.S.
We really like Dr. Haley. Unlike other therapists, he teaches skills that are so important instead
of just sitting there and listening. We are soon going to have our younger son be in a group too.

I really can’t say enough about Dr. Haley and the social skills program. We had an overall
excellent experience and would definitely refer our friends here.

I was in one of the adult groups at Oakton. We worked on my confidence and social skills so I
could interview better for a job. I am now working full time and doing very well. The only
problem is I had to stop the group because it is during the hours I work!
